The MOJA Education Foundation

Purpose

MOJA is an acronym that stands for Math Outreach Joined with the Arts. The MOJA Education Foundation 501(c)(3) is an organization, which operates to elucidate and enhance the artistic creativity and mathematical dexterity of today's urban youth through the vehicles of mentoring, college preparatory activities, and various scholarship opportunities in order to better prepare them for STEAM related programs and careers.

We are guided by a commitment to maximizing each student’s potential. Our approach integrates:

- Academic Excellence: High-quality tutoring and enrichment activities that engage students and build strong academic foundations.

- Whole Child Development: We focus on the whole child—addressing academic, emotional, social, and cognitive needs to ensure students thrive in all aspects of their lives.

- Community Engagement: We believe in the power of community support. By collaborating with families and local organizations, we ensure that students have the resources they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Our mission is to bridge the gap for students facing academic challenges and limited resources, ensuring they feel empowered and have the support needed to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Mentor Program

The mentoring program consists of partnerships between STEM professionals and high school students.   The mentors provide the students with the guidance needed to be successful STEM professionals and exposes them to information regarding, not only academic progress, but also personal enrichment and involvement in the community.
