Our Story
MOJA Education Foundation was founded in 2008 in response to the growing educational disparities affecting underserved communities in Los Angeles. Recognizing the systemic barriers many students face, our founder—an educator and advocate for equitable access to quality education—launched MOJA to create a holistic, inclusive approach to learning and development.
Over the years, MOJA has grown from a small grassroots initiative into a trusted community partner, offering transformative programs that address the academic, social, and emotional needs of students. Guided by our commitment to educational equity and community empowerment, MOJA continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of the families we serve.
Our Core Values:
Equity: We believe all students deserve access to high-quality education and resources, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Collaboration: We foster partnerships with families, schools, and local organizations to build a supportive network around our students.
Innovation: We embrace creative, evidence-based solutions to address the challenges faced by underserved communities.
